Well my ears are still ringing from last nights gig ...

Airbourne i think maybe turned the volume up a tad too much!
Shame really but they are certainly a spirited, entertaining rock band ...
Very energetic and thoroughly enjoyed by the crowd who went mental ! lol

Anyway you can't complain at seeing three bands for £12 ... lol

Support acts were for Airbourne were

Stone Gods who were formed by former Darkness members Dan Hawkins and Richie Edwards (Darker and heavier than the Darkness were which is good) I saw these guys at Download earlier this year and again thought they were well worth a look if you get the chance ...

Sound and Fury were the first band on ... power chords / no-bull ***FILTERED WORD*** rock ‘n roll from Toronto Canada lol ... certainly entertaining and got the crowd going.

Snap..... saw Airbourne Sunday at UEA and yes they were a tad loud!! Good tho but my ears did not stop ringing till Weds!!! Wasn't quite sure about Sound & Fury ... I don't think they were quite sure themselves either of what they were about... was a bit of a mix. The Stone Gods I saw on one of their first gigs when they supported Thin Lizzy this year... they're not bad.

Saw it a few years ago and thought it time to see them again :o)

Slade are now led by founder members Dave Hill and Don Powell, with newer additions ex Mud bass guitarist John Berry and vocalist Mal McNulty who can frequently be spied in the guise of the Big Issue seller in Eastenders apparently ??? lol

In support are T.Rextasy and Mud II

Gonna make it a priority to see a great band this yr, ffs i can walk to Wembley Arena in 5 mins.................Hmmmmmmmmmm suggestions as sons love rock and play drums an guitar, how shall I surprise them.

Another question, are you allowed to take 11 and 13 year olds to concerts?

--

If you can keep your head while all about you are losing theirs, you probably haven't grasped the seriousness of the situation!

Right here we go ...

soz but ive had a couple of drinks as im not working tommorow !

Last night i experienced a truely brilliant Saturday night out !!!

before any anone says it ...
Yes i was at The O2 and ...
NO i did not see New kids On The Block !
They were on at The O2 Arena not The IndigO2 !!!
How embarrising to have to walk amoung fans of the affore mentioned !

WIERD!

I attended the IndigO2 event ... HONEST !!!

This was ... The SAS Bands new Years Bash !!!

the who / what ? you ask ???

heres the web site ...

http://www.sasband.com/

What a brilliant night out ... for someone of my age ...
or anyone with a genuine feeling for good music !

Oh and just to keep with the biking connection ...
JT and Crash were the support band !

(James Toseland)

I bet JT was absolutly stunned at leading the end song ...
We Will Rock You with Queens Roger Taylor and His Son Rufus playing drums

Like i said a brilliant night
The SAS band with ...
Roy Wood (The Move - ELO - Wizzard) say no more Great to see!!!
Graham Gouldman (10cc / major contrubutor to music in general!) Excellant!
Madeline Bell (Blue Mink etc and an execeptional vocalist ... believe me !)
Toyah Wilcox (phoaaarw ... the skin tight PVC cat suit was ... !!!) mmmmmm
Jett Scott Soto (Journey - Yngwie Malmsteen) Quite a stunning voice despite the fact he was suffering from a cold !!! good on you for your efforts btw ! and also for singing alont to Tenament Funster offstage ... i saw you ! lol lol)
Patti Rousso (Meatloaf) another stunning voice ... mmm
And Finally (for Roeby ... bet she dont read this !)
The Fabba Girls !!!
Abba tribute (dont laugh! really good vocalists and fun with it!)
These two provided backing vocals throughout the night ... really good ;o)
Roger Taylor + Rufus Taylor ... (Queens Drummer + Son)
Really Good to hear Tennament Funster from Queens Shear Heart 'live' !!!

Well all i can say is if you ever see the SAS band advertised ...
go and see the show ... have fun its a great night out :o)
Who know who might be playing with them ???

:o)

With regard to age restrictions at concerts ox i think u'll find its a case of checking each and every specific event ... some do have restrictions (14 is i believe a very often used cut off point) But as i said its really a case of checking the specific event your interested in!
If your intent on going to your local venue then walk down and as for a list of comming events and enquire about any restrictions they have. Also you could for instance take a good look at the ticketmaster site as they deal with the majority of events in the UK .... just check and see whoes on tour ... you can restrict the seach options to just rock stuff if you want ... again you can check it out and see what restrictions are in place with individual bands / venues.

The only other issue you might want to consider is the hieght of your lads ...
and where you want to vue the band in relation to there hieght and riotous nature of the crowd !!! If in doubt ask me and i should be able to give you a reasonable assessment of how boysterous the crowd might be !!! lol
Im being serious there i know your a largish bloke but its not cool having your kids sucked into a mosh pit! not that i think youd go to the type of band that has such a crowd to be honest! They can be useful though to skim round the edge of as a way of getting right to the front! lol ... the front usually stays ok but with you have the ... you might get crushed option !!! well you might not but ...

anyway ... gimme a shout if your not sure about a band / venue and if i can i'll attemt to enlighten you ...

tc yeah
