I have noticed a few new users abusing this site in several ways so I thought a few rules would be in order. What I intend to do is put a page up defining the rules, but what should they be? This site is not a commercial venture, it is just a bit of fun and a community so I do not think it would be fair for me to impose rules on everyone without the agreement of the regular users so this thread is for everyone to reach agreement on what the rules should be. I will post my initial thoughts shortly. Mark

Can we have some opinions on whether the name should be shown at all in the profile or perhaps just first name.

As you can probably tell i dont have a problem with my name being shown as its almost there anyway with my login name although in heinsight? i wish i hadnt as it seems a tad formal. But think of it this way if you meet other peeps from this site whilst out and about you may not want to be called by your login name and it is helpful to know the persons christian name to start with.

Yes the whole idea is supposed to be fun but then you get prats coming on here, and abusing everyone, advertising ( which in moderation can be overlooked but eventually it gets out of hand ) and generally taking the piss. So the idea of this thread is just to find out what everyones opinions are make some acceptable rules and then everyone knows where they stand if someone comes in and starts doing stuff that is upsetting/annoying them.

Ok, this is what I have gathered from everyone so far. Any problems with these let me know. 1, Don't break the law 2, Be polite. If you do not like what someone is saying there is always the ignore button. 3, Don't post any form of advertising or we will disable your ability to use the forums & private messages. 4, Details given in your registration/user profile must be 100% accurate or your account will be deleted. I will be removing the realname section from the user profiles.
