Re: the pics ... try one or both of these ideas
check the file size (good chance they will need to be made smaller)
also make sure they are .jpg file format.

Nice one, had one myself ( Each of the GT`s actually). Used it to despatch on!
Good little bike for its time.
Only thing that comes to mind is the fork spring retaining circlips could ease out, so check them!!!

Otherwise enjoy.

when he has it through the mot,(its up this monday)he wants 2 grand for it or there abouts.Think he is for shoving it on ebay round the end of october as he is going to stafford show then so he can take it over for who ever buys it.
i had it out for a little run the other day and it seems to go well.Great sound of it when you give it the gas.I just need to balance the carbies on it and a bit of fine tuning here and there to get it running a lil bit sweeter

1 years mot as from today and her first time ever to be issued with an mot certificate in 35 years, lol
Back then,a car / bike got its first mot at 7 years old, this gt was taken off the road in 81 and garaged.MOT inspector couldn,t believe it was its first mot test from new.
TBH,they hardly even looked at it

Good news but............
Rubber deteriorating,like tyres and intakes.
Spoked wheels so not that basket inflation valve leakage.
Did you reduced the petrol/oil or is that not tested because of age?

Apart from that nice one!

Had to put a master cyl seal kit in it for mot and thats all needed doing.
Looked to me like the tyres were replaced somwhere down the way as it has conti,s on it and i am sure they were not original rubber, although not cracked, the rubber feels pretty hardened.
as for the rubber intakes and other rubber parts, not a bit cracked on it.must have been garaged in good dry conditions.
it was a woman mot inspector and the only thing she seemed intrested in was lights and front brake.was in and out in 5 mins.
next project i have to undertake for the brother is a 72 yam as125,again,a non runner for 20 years.same thing, get it going and motd and its then for sale

might as well repeat the babble I put under the 125 yam pic ...

The bike pictured is a Yamaha AS1
these were followed (not surprisingly!) by the AS2 & AS3

The next version was designated RD125

I had one of these RD125's many years ago ... eventually dug it out the shed and sold it due to unemployment about 10 or so years ago.

My RD125's engine number started AS3******** so you'll see there is an obvious link to the earlier versions.

The RD125 had a rounded shaped tank, steering damper, and Twin leading shoe front drum brakes.

The final version of this bike was the RD125DX which not surprisingly had a front disk brake and coffin shaped tank as opposed to the earlier round shaped one.
The DX versions engine was obviously updated and definately had different style engine numbers. ie they didnt start with the designation 'AS3' ...
This was the last of Yamaha's air cooled 125 twins

GOD IM SAD sometimes aint I ?
