Just a thought, I take it most of you know what a WIKI is. If not, it is an online encyclopedia that anyone can edit and add to, a collaborative effort. I thought it may be a good idea to setup a really good Motorcycle wiki, however it would need a lot of input from users with knowledge of all aspects of the subect. There are a few motorcycle wiki's but they are generally not very well done however we have a lot of knowledgeable people here so we should be able to do a good job. I will cover the cost of the site and the software but I would need people to provide artwork and also content (must be written by you and not copied). Anyone like the idea/want to get involved. The more the merrier. Let me know on this thread. Mark

Just been using said item to assist in my sons homework (yes they are allowed to use the net for homework now, kind of defeats the object i think). I digress, yes i`ll contribute, good idea.

Thanks to everyone so far for the offers of help both in PM and on this thread. I have setup the site and installed the software, I just need a little time to get my head around the configuration of it. I would like some people with design abilities and also some people wth good english skills to offer to correct any poor editing. I would also like for some people to offer their time as editors to approve new submissions (preferably with some background motorcycle knowledge). I will let everyone know the site url soon. Thanks Mark

i suppose in reality i dont know anything about editing etc ... Oh well ... guess i know probably bugger all about bikes as well! lol Im pulling my hair out at the moment anyway gathering infomation on ranges of bikes and all im doing in reality is making more and more work for myself between stumbling over the misinformation of others! eeeeek and that sometimes includes the manufacturers! I wish you luck ... if i cud or if you wud want me to help then i'd try ok.
