Ladies/Gentlemen, I know we are all busy with our work, But please take two minutes to complete this petition against this government turning the countries road proposal into a fiasco. Just click on the attachment below fill in the petition form, sign at the bottom of the page and all's done. Lets stop this government taxing our lives away. READ THIS...it takes less than 2 minutes to read and sign. ITS IMPORTANT Sign and send on to all of your mates my friends because before you know it the nice gentlemen will be taxing us for breathing and that's no longer the joke it used to be! It was stated on the news this morning (27th November 2006) one of the reasons this proposal has been suggested was to raise money for possible road building and improvements to existing roads. It should be noted: all the money currently collected by the DVLA for road fund licences, only 23% - 24% is actually spent on road building and improvements! The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it. The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver. A non working Mum who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month. On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit you can expect an NIP with your monthly bill. If you care about our freedoms and stopping the constant bashing of the car driver, please sign the petition on No 10's new website Sign up here * http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/ < http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/> ________________________________

dunno if this will affect bikes or not! (i aint buying a spy to put on my bike aint gonna happen!) however this is just another money grabbing exercise by this government, i dont for one second believe that any money raised by this proposal (should it get through) will be spent on roads or public transport. Its outragous that drivers will have to pay road tax and petrol taxes as well as a road usage tax. business will just pass the price on to customers so all products and services will increase in cost, so everything will just get more expensive and we still get to pay more for driving a car/bike/whatever. FFS enough is enough. time for this lot to go, and a good solid message needs to be sent to the next bunch of thieving scumbag politicians too. oh and yeah i have signed it!
