Prisioners haved sued cos they had to go "cold turkey" in prison ....... tuff f*****g s**t ......... a) drugs r illegal and b) u got locked up for doing something illegal ........ so y should anyone give a s**t how u have to cope and y should we the tax payers pay u damages????? will they be paying damages for whatever crimes they commited? will they b*llox .............. this is a f*****g joke ........... will someone please see sense ASAP!!!!!!!!!!! i'm absolutly disgusted!!!!!!!

dont worry roe,,theyve no chance of winnin it.its lawyers tryin to get work at our expense....they lose the case,but the lawyers get paid from legal aid....ie us.

its an out of court settlement. which basically means the government think they will lose the case and therfore create a precident in law.

they didnt win anything it was settled out of court, its a breach of human rights supposedly....shows where this country is going, jail should be like shawshank redemption but they shouldnt be able to escape, just be bummed and beat up regularly till they die, or something like that anyway..

where has common sense gone in this PC world. I agree its lawyers generating huge fees from the public purse.
In scotland they won payouts basically because they didn't have private toilet facilities in their cells and had to sh*t in a bucket and slop out in the morning.

750,000 quid they have been "awarded" split between a few of em apparently so they get about 3500 grand a piece..... sounds like they "WON" to me!
the true winners of course will be the lawyers as they were always gonna be paid!
