Hi all.Im putting new wheels on my cbx750f (cbr1000f 17"rear and vfr750 16" front)and need help with tyres, sizes and brands.Im thinking of putting a 160/70/17 on the back but Im not sure what to use up front with the 16" wheel !My reason for using a vfr front is because it fits straight in and is a match for the rear wheel as both are 3 spoke alloy wheels.Any ideas all you more technically minded folk?By the way,I polished the wheel edges and painted the spokes and they look mint.Cant wait to fit them and try them out as I have had a horrid 18" rear rim on the bike with a 130 at the rear.Reckon it shud stick to the corners now like glue.

its just to make it an easy conversion.Ive never noticed a 16 front ever being twitchy in my life and Ive had a few 16 and 17s in my day an have never seen any difference. Most of the blades all had 16 fronts.

17 inch front wheel would give you more options thats all, i'd go for a 160/60-17 and a 120/70-17 if you get a 17 inch wheel, if not i think you can stick a 130/70-16 on the front the 160/60 rear should help you turn a lot quicker but ideally should be matched with the 17'' front wheel
you'll probably find these tyres will be slightly cheaper aswell as they fit most of the 400's
