Does anyone know if anti climb paint (pc99) is legal to put up? My nans scummy next door neighbours are climbing up on the 7 foot fence my nan had to put up cos of them and banging on their conservatry roof with sticks n stuff. Surely if i paint the top of the fence my nans side it would be ok? Just dont wanna do it only for the scum to try and sue my nan for damage to clothing or summit.

best bet is to contact yer local council and see wether its legal first. cant see that there would be a problem with it, but you never know. pity its not legal to just take a baseball bat to the offending parties knees really

well i just been down the cop shop and they wouldnt give me a straight answer, they just told me to get my nan to keep a diary of it and then the police can issue an abso. Fail to see how thats supposed to make them stop.

it is legal in Scotland provided its above normal reaching height and warning notices are clearly displayed

the fence is 7 foot high, so im guessing if i sent a letter witnessed by a solicitor explaining the paint will be applied on a particular date and send it recorded delivery so i have proof they recieved it, and put signs up then my nan would be covered against any sort of legal repercussions

alternativly get yer nan a gurt slavering beastie of a dog. a rottwieler or doberman or pitbull this will give yewr nan company and also deter the local scumbags from tresspassing (either that or the dog gets to eat em.)

Mito ya nugget should have called me, the legal minimum height is 8 ft. You also have to put up warning signs. Failure to do so with render you open to being sued by someone breaking in/getting over fence and clothes soiled by non washable off anti climb paint. It is also against the law to use nails glass or any other sharp object unless it is razor wire/barbed wire with the appropriate signage.
