http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/6038926.stm what i pick up from this story is what Juliet Lyon, director of the Prison Reform Trust said "Compared with the soaring reconviction rates for all those leaving our overcrowded jails and the cost to the public purse of more than Ł11bn a year from reoffending, the HDC makes sound economic sense." it doesn't make sense if these people r sick in the head and they kill others!!!!! what price do u put on someones head? the victims of these people were someones mother, father, child!!!!!!!!!!

And the number of untagged early releases who went on to commit murder is.......? And the number of prisoners released after serving their full sentence who went on to commit murder is...........? And the number of tagged prisoners who don't get into trouble is...........? This is just another bunch of ringpieces using partial statistics to justify their own, narrow viewpoint. One good thing about the death penalty, you never have to pay compensation to the wrongly convicted. Read George Orwell's essay on witnessing a hanging before you say you support the death penalty.
