It's funny how a chain of events change your life, i split from wife on 1 april and was down thinking things was bad. I also thought this would not get worse. How wrong i was on 30 june i had a accedent that changed every thing, i ended getting to A&E with (what they said) no pulse (must have been one but very week) blood presure that was that low they could not beleve that i was still talking to them. I ended up in intesive care for 8 days and was critical for 4 of them, at one point i thought i was dieing, but i could hear whats was going on but could not respond, i was told about all the call's that was coming in trying to see how i was ( partiuly one person that rang every day). At this point they had to take my leg off. These calls gave me strenth to pull though, and i would like to thank every one who called, then as i came round and was taken into a normal ward, my mum printed off pages of this site, i made me cry in happieness as i realsed that i had more friends than what i thought. I would also thank all that give blood as for them i would not be hear today, as i had more that 3 full body transfusions. I owe my life to people that gave blood. It's made me think that life is too short and i and now a changed man, im more positive than i've ever been before. I want to be some one and make a difference. THANK YOU ALL Mike

there is a saying " he only chucks it down on those that can handle it " , unfortunatlly lifes path isnt always easy , but all these experiances do have effects and teach us so much about ourselfs, tend to think its whats lifes about , some of us in a strange sense are lucky enough to learn more greater lessons , its a shame it happens this way but also somtimes a bit of a blessing in disguise, youv been lucky enough to have been given new wings mike , now youll really fly xxxx ana

It puts things in perspective as my divorce is the last thing im worried about now (shes history). As life is too short to worrie about things like that. I now have to think about my self not other things as its not easy. But im a survivor. One thing they never told me till now was that at one point i only has 20% chance of surviving. That made me think that i have to change.

Compared to what you've been through the divorce will be a piece of cake. Mine was finalised this time last year, after almost 3 years and oh boy what a relief it was to be free.

Mike, I talked to you at length before you had your accident, about life, and about how you needed to be more positive. It is a bloody shame that it has taken something as drastic as this to make you change, but I for one know that you can be positive, and i look forward to seeing you in your 'new' frame of mind. Good luck hun, you're a top bloke, and you will make a difference x

Hold on to those thoughts Ninja so you bring them out when you need them. Keep trucking.
