Here is the true story....At around 10AM one car and a van came up to the Embassy, one went to the front and the van, loaded with explosive and gas canisters, went to our back gate and tryed ramming the gate, but it held. Thankful that this one did not explode, would have been a totally different story! The guy in the van jumped out of it and ran to the front of the Embassy where his fellow terrorist were, pretty stupid move since by then the Syrian Securty forces had arrived armed to the teeth! Not to drag this on, all 4 bad guys were killed, one was blown apart when the car they were hiding behind blew up. Course that was not after they had managed to toss a couple granades into the Embassy compound, doing little or no damage thank God! One was thrown with the pin still in it so it simply rolled around. All in all it took maybe a half hour for everything to calm down. Very exciting day, to say the least!!!! Cheers Drifter

If it were real bad we would be have and "Ordered Departure" but again only non essential personnel and that does not include me, at least on the first wave. So what the hell! Ya only go around once, mite as well make the best of it! Drifter
