An Englishman a Scotsman and a German get sentenced to 100 lashes each for breaking the alcohol laws in a Middle East country. On the day of the public flogging the Englishman is the first one to be strapped to the rack and the executioner asks him if he would like anything to cover his back and he replies, ”I want the flag of St.George draped across my shoulders as I’m proud to be English and my blood will blend in with the Red Cross of St. George! His wish was granted. Next up was the German. On being asked the same question he replied, “I am a German and as such I do not need any such thing, my strength is that of the German nation as a whole and my pain increases my strength and will inspire the people of the mighty German nation on to higher goals. His punishment was carried out. Next up was the Jock. On being asked what he wanted to cover his back and shoulders, the Jock thought deeply for a moment and replied………………………….
