a lad i used to play cricket with had a aston martin DB9, he had extra insurance on his tyres cos they were mega expensive about £800 each and if he had a puncture in one he had to replace all 4, i suppose if u can afford the car the tyres arent a problem

lol we had to have a re think ........ michelin have a back log apparently so no one can get any of those tyres for a while yet and one of my back ones was right on the limit so i have had some avons put on instead cos they were in stock and they were only £160 each lol .......... but your right si if u have an expensive car then the tyres and the money aren't problem at all luckly ....... i just thought they were expensive for what they r.

i wasnt having a go i was just saying, price of car tyres av come down loads in the past few years, more and more manufacturers are using bigger wheels so more bigger tyres are being used so prices have come down, i remember when the escort cosworth first came out and this lad needed 4, it was nearly a grand for new michelins all round...

I did think in the tyre place that a lot of the tyres in there were for big wheels and lots of low profile tyres. Seems like the manufacturers are putting big wheels on cars nowadays. Maybe they will get cheaper now.

Just thinking back, about 15 years ago I had an Esprit. A full set of tyres used to cost me about £1400. Probably similar size to the ones on this car so they probably have come down in price.

aslong as it in the central 3/4 of the tyre and not run flat and isnt larger than 6 mm (i think) it should be fine to repair
