i just purchased a 06' Road King. I am looking to put new pipes that will give it more sound, and also increase performance. Will I need to changed the air box, and re-map the bike. How much will it all cost?

The first and most obvious route is to have a stage 1 upgrade installed which will consist of HD Screaming Eagle pipes, a filter kit and as the big twins are no longer carbed, a fuel remap too. This will free up a few ponies as well as making the bike much more 'alive' as we all know the compromises on factory bikes. As regards cost, here in the UK this can be done for around £800 - £1000, so it probably the same in $$ in the US. I wouldnt just stick pipes on as this will upset the fuelling on your bike as i believe the RK has 02 sensors in the exhaust. Congratulations on your choice of bike, RK's make excellent baggers, yet good enough for bar hopping.
