.To 'Jess' My long haired amazing heart stopping friend from Whitby...i will never forget you ..Always the quietist ones...
Dear 'Jess'..I knew if I put this in a paper no one would see it..You were the cleverest master of jet...I gazed in wonder at the works of art yu carved, and placed in your shop which was at the bottom of the hill. I remember walking round Whitby with you after the pub ...but I dont remember where we ended up...perhaps thats a good thing!!! I remember planning mad things like riding to york on my maddest horse in full armour and stopping over at Whitby..For Gods sake where were our minds lol...
You had an adventurous mind and I kno now you were planning to go to Singapore and live with the girl you were with and after many ums and ahs ....She eventually went and left you behind..
.
Yesterday I learnt that yu had drowned after a night in the same pub....(!) rescuing someone else who had gone into the sea and got into difficulty..
And you were drowned doing this....
True to your wishes or as near as..they gave you a viking funeral ..built a boat and sent your ashes out to sea and a few to Singapore so that yu did get there in the end....
RIP my beautiful...and ride into Val-Hala surrounded by Rhine Maidens.xxxxxxxxx

As long as we have friends such as you to remember us when were gone, deaths grip can only hold the mortal coil. The spirit will live on forever!
Sorry for your loss Darcy. I can only hope I have a friend such as you to remember me when I travel that road.

Darcey,
I just heard the news and am so sorry for the loss.
Jess was what we all should aspire to be. A Viking spirit of noble heart who took life as it came to him with laughter and song, Valor when needed, honor, and always mixed with love.
Like his art, he has carved out a place in the hearts and minds of the fortunate few who knew him with a strong hand. And in those who's lives he has touched. In those hearts and minds he will live on with us all through his deeds. His life like his passing were spent with the same Spirit, Honor, Valor, and Love.
Rest in Peace Jess.
