well for those that are interested , i didnt get the job . tho he has asked if i would be interested in assisting him with the brewery work on a "as needed" basis. i have never done cash in hand work and am not too sure wether i should (what with it being illegal and all, can do without the hassles really but my homebrew would certainly improve). ho hum back to the dole queue i suppose.
Am gutted to be honest.

Bear,
IMO, it sounds as if this bloke is on the fiddle, get a load of people in for an interview and then offer them cash in hand work because he won't have to pay NI or honour a contract. I know it was something you wanted but would you really want to work for someone like that ?
