our US counterparts pint for pint or gallon for gallon:- here's how-- 1UK gallon = 4.546092 liters. 1US gallon = 3.784296 liters. or 1US pint = 0.8324285 of a UK pint. Don't know why i wrote this useless piece of info - too much time on my hands.

bear 1300cc Superstar Joined: Friday, October 29, 2004 Posts: 5790 Location: cumbria United Kingdom	and 1 uk pint is = to 587ml approx. according to newcastle brown bottle anyway (bloody metric measurements, a pint is a pint and hopefully it always will be other wise we will end up buying half liters of beer which is less and i bet the price wont change either)

Roeby 1300cc Superstar Joined: Posts: 8884 Location: Derbyshire United Kingdom	Mark came to Tesco with me yesterday (for the first time in years) and he was amazed by the weights and measures stuff on somethings it tells u the price in lbs and on something else at the side it tells u the price in kg so u have to know what everything is b4 u can calculate which is the better value ........ its so bloody confusing.
