Hi gang,
I'm thinkin of buying an XBR600f with 30000miles and loads of paperwork, its a J plate(92).
Does anybody have experience of these bikes and if so is it a wise choice? What kind of things should i lookout for...yes Ox i know Landrovers hurt!
Dont be shy people i've a week to make up my mind!!!

not owned one. however they are reliable and handle well . they are also good on fuel. just check the bike over first and make sure it isnt fooked look for worn stuff ect. they were featured in a recent classic mechanics and according to the right up are a great bike. yer not gonna break any speed records but if thats what you were wanting you would have gone for summat else at a guess.

well i have an xj900 of similar age and its got over 70000 miles on it and is reliable, i know someone with a six with similar milage . same rules apply check things over to see whats worn and needs replacing. should be no rattles or smoke and make sure the tank aint leaking as they all rot at the seams on xj's and they can be a real problem to get a replacement as they dont make tanks for em anymore. plenty of second hand spares about for them (except the tanks). A good solid bike with a good reputation for long lived engines.
