Still looking for help on a recommended cruiser-style bike. Here's my info:
1. Willing to pay up to $9K (Cdn)
2. I plan to ride to work about 10 days per month (70 km roundtrip) from May to Oct.
3. Only plan to ride in the summer.
4. Looking for a cruiser-style bike.
5. I'm 5' 9" /190 kg.
6. Along with work and rec riding, I figure I'll put on around 7000 Km per season.
7. I only just got my MC license, so am relatively inexperienced.
I appreciate whatever help/info/direction I can get.

with the risk of sounding rude narolman - at a 190kg ( 30 stone uk ) you should perhaps set your sights on a Sherman Tank rather than a bike!!

I agree Nano the VTX 1800 is a top bike but not for someone who has just got their
MC licence with little or no experience.

How about a Yamaha cruiser like the Roadstar or V-star. They are very nice.

You will probably get a nearly new or pre-registered one for the amount u want to spend.

a harley may be a good starting bike (low bhp, vast amount of spare part availability, good dealership network, ect)
