I often wonder why I bought my bike. The one I had did more than enough and dare I say it was a good all round bike a CBR900RR RRW, I very rarely took it to its limit but I opted for a new spangly R1 coz it had fuel injection and it looks the mutts nuts is a bit of an icon on the road and I love peeps looking at it when its parked up.The feeling I get from it is pure exhileration. but why did you choose the bike you ride?

i have often pondered that very question when thinking about some of my bikes (as in OMG what the fuck have i done) but my current bike was cheap, 800 quid, dealer maintained ie full service history, and fairly clean considering the 40k a few scrapes here and there, but a good all round bike that has never missed a beat (it now has nearly 70k on the clock) i get about 45 MPG and more on a long run. it aint pretty or flash but it gets me there. yamaha xj900f from 1992. highly recommended as a winter hack and all round work horse and they are really cheap too.

Because it's very green... derrrrr!!! pmsl Looked a few types of 600 i.e. Gixer6, R6 and CBR600 but the ZX6 was the only type that I could get a reasonably new model in good condition for bout 1k less than the others.... it also suits me and my (twattish) riding better than any of the others did! My cousins first sports bike was a ZX6 so he knew quite a bit about them too... always useful if you're a girl!! lol

I had a string of Blades (96, 99, 99, 00) and the last one, the fuel injected model, was that bit too small for any riding other than balls out, license losing madness. I bought the Blackbird because it is stupidly fast, a match for a sportsbike (unless the sports bike rider is seriously quick) and is actually fairly comfortable. It's a real Jekyll and Hyde as you can open it up and go utterly mad or just pootle around and get very good fuel consumption. It also came with a full hard luggage set, which was a major improvement over the Blade and it's soft luggage. Cheers Grim

Loved my last bike (zx6), and it was pre-distastered when i got it so no worries about getting a few scratches. Only problem is crippled me after a couple of hours. Decided I needed a street fighter and narrowed it down to the Z1000 or the Tuono purely on looks alone. The Z1000 was green (always a bonus) and I was a kawasaki freek, but hate the exhausts and it was 500 quid more. Took the Tuono out for a ride and fell in love with the engine handling and the whole package. Best bike I've ever owed, but then I said that about the ZX6

Was off bikes for a few yrs after a nasty off.......(used to be a bike courier) then bought mesself a second hand ZX6r coz it was so fast at the time...my courier bike was a CX500....dont laugh.............gits.............. Anyways....... some twat in a BMW managed to help me part company with it....broke me leg AGAIN. Went to have a look at a new ZX6 with Kez....big mistake............ended up buying the ZX9 in GREEN, bigger bike more power and got it for £1000 less than it would've cost for the ruddy 6. Never looked back or regreted it, fast and comfortable and great for riding down to Kez's parents place in France.......yeeehhaaaaaaaaa Need i say more Ian

I bought the big Vtwin ( Honda VTX 1800 ) because of the enormouse growl,it shines like Las Vegas and can shift a bit when needed.I also feel fab when traffic gets out of the way ( mainly to gorp) when i'm cruising along.Over the last month or two the speed demon has been knocking on the door and i'm considering a part exchange in the spring for a sports or sports tourer possibly a blackbird as i think they are the dogs bollocks.

Had a 750 V4 Honda and found it a bit high at lights and in gravel so went looking to find a bike that was a bit lower. Most modern bikes are high for me and I did not want the Harly style of riding so I imported a Honda 1300CB X4 from Japan. Just the bees nees 4 a shorty like me and love it to bits.

well my last one which was a Triumph Bonnie 1976 750 got stolen. I have been looking for a good deal since I work on my own so I found a sweet deal on a Honda 1997 750 in great shape. The guy who owned before me didn't know much about bikes but thought he would see what the electrial system was like. Well now that he cant figure out how to fix his mess I have a bike for cheap and a simple fix... thank you the God of Bikes...
