i was thinking that i have read some very fine books on the subject of biking over the years and was wondering if anyone had any favorite books to recommend. in no particular order of preference hells angels by hunter s thompson zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance by robert m persig freewheeling frank cant remember who by jupiters travels cant remember his name either fogg on the road by jim fogg mad dogs christmas by jim fogg bikers. birth of a modern day outlaw by maz harris am sure there are many more too but i cant remember the names. could do with a few suggestions tho cos its winter and i could do with something to while away the odd hour or two.

i remember reading the chopper books when i was younger ok 14 since then ( rosie and jim) my reading got younger...............what can i say bloody kids

ive read and thouroughly enjoyed some of the autobigraphies. Steve Hislop was exceptionally good and the Colin Edwards book is ok, Neil Hodgson back on track is an ok read as well and if you go onto Ebay i'm sure you can find yourself some cheaper copies.

The Brotherhoods by Arthur Veno. All about the 1% clubs in Australia, excellent reading. findable on Ebay or Amazon.

best bike book?....the haynes manual when u can't get the chuffin thing started on a bright sunny morning. sadly dont get to read my copy cos i got a honda :0)

You should have bought a Yamaha or a Kwak Scunj ;-) Or a Suzuki, come to that. I reckon peeps will have calmed down in about ten years ! Cheers Grim
