I used to have an RD 500 ypvs back in the late 80's.
It was ***FILTERED WORD*** in awesome, only wish I had kept it now looking at the price they fetch.

I know they were not eco friendly and the GP rules were set to change but why did they stop developing these beasts?
Imagine what an RD or RG 500 would be like now !!!!

Also, for most manufacturers, it was the cost of 'research and development'. They didn't want to spend the money to develop an environmentally friendly 2-stroke, when they had already had a 4-stroke that did the job. --
