As the rice grew early
and the maid looked surly
My father lay wishes
at the foot of the ditches

Hate filled his mind
As he took to the skies
with germans to bomb
and fruits grew aplomb

the final announcement
laid daisies to rind
As he slipped to his death
In the fields of his mind

Hey, I actually like that one.
Your getting better!!!!

Just tossed some thoughts ( well it is early and the drugs aint kicked in yet ( medicinal ones)) about and thought of a trip to Glastonbury I partook of with some old friends who have since passed off this mortal coil. Actually trying to add finishing touches, listening to Pink Floyd. Try reading this with "Final Cut" in mind. 2nd verse onwards

Well here it is.
Hope it comes across as I feel.

A dawn arose.......................

A dawn arose, so damp and crisp
sneaked upon us, some friends missed
Passions cooling, bodies spent
Howling urges gone went

We awoke startled, minds wary
farmers crying, time for dairy

Did it happen, were we there
Stonehenge - Glastonbury fair
People shouting eat my shorts
Blame MTV for the retorts

Bands playing on our wrists
Eternity ones not to be missed
Ankle bracelets on spotty chavs
Selling anything, money for grabs

Did we do it, was we there
Glastonbury, did we care
We jumped the fence yes we did
Do we regret it not a bit

To old friends so dear ,
Which bit did we not hear
We loved the game did we not
Lived it large never forgot

A new dawn arose...................................

I know seeking comments either good or bad is a nasty selfish issue.
To be honest that was done in a hour of soul searching to keep it short and concise.
Also the new painkillers were doing my head in!!!

My apologies for demanding a comment on the subject. If it was as good as I thought they would have been forthcoming anyway.
