I get through the long winter...dreaming of spring and summer...

luckily the weather here is gorgeous now, although, as you say, they are limited..

I suspect I will be spending some of the winter months in bike shops and any indoor shows that I can find...as long as it isn't snowing, I will be riding : )

I don't think cleaning bikes is such a bad way to spend the winter...

however...I hate riding in the rain...only cause the 18 wheelers show you no mercy...grrrr

A crisp winters day like today is ideal for a blast to get rid of the cobwebs. Every season has its pitfalls.
Autumn brings the piles of wet leaves and mud on the road from farm vehicles
Winter brings the inevitable rock salt deposits that eat into the bike
Spring brings the deisel spills as everyone overfills before the Budget increases
Summer - crowded roads and the weekend warriors who may have the matching leathers and phone case but lack the experience to ride competantly

Having said all that - I still love my bike and wouldnt be without it. Just have to take the rough with the smooth. That one day were you get a clear run at a favourite road, or you get to filtre past the traffic jams heading for the coast - those days make the bad ones worthwhile.
