does andyone know the spexcs on a xs650 83 swingarm,mainly the gap in between the chain adjusters but any other specs would be brill,thatnx,andy

the gap between the chain adjusters from the inside,the spindle thickness and the width of the swingarm pivot.....my mate has just built a fram for one and is now working on a swingarm but the project has stopp cos of wheel fitment and spindles and such,this is as he told me today bud,i think he's gna be using alot ot standard gear just a custom chassis

the gap from the chain adjusters to where? you should find all the sizes for spindles and stuff in a haynes manual or the link ox posted , if youre building a custom youll need a lathe and mikes . make just about anything for a bike on a lathe . yes i have got one, no you cant! lol

rereading your original post, i dont think youll find this distance given in a manual , best measure a standard swinging arm.

i had three of these buggers at once ! ive owned six in total and binned all the parts i had left a few years ago OF COURSE theyre worth summat now! lol . actually i found some engine mounting brackets with the rectifiers still attatched the other day! i think i still have em, unfortunately a few years ago i got two shedsfull of old jap parts z1 xs650 z650 cb750 cbx1000 and used them for hardcore to build my garage.....
