I think you'll find that the GP circuit was altered slightly a few years ago ...

I think these are now the correct track lengths ...

Indy Circuit
Length: 1.198 miles (1.929 km)
Direction: Clockwise
Corners: 6

GP Circuit
Length: 2.301 miles (3.703 km)
Direction: Clockwise
Corners: 9

By the way Roeby the longer GP Circuit is used for the BSBk meeting at Brands Hatch on 6th - 8th Aug. 2010

Actually I do have a family conection with the circuit ...
My Mums parents and Sister had a bungalow very close to the section of track called 'Clearways' up until the mid 80's. Its now been replaced. My Grandad built the bungalow there just before the second world war and the family moved there very soon after the bombing in London started. He used to shoot rabbits in the woods around what was then a grass track circuit way back in time too. In fact my Mum and Dad were also married in the Village where Brands Hatch is located ... ooops babbling away here!

Always feel at home there in a strange way ...

I know theres a longer version lol I just said can't see why they don't use it, it would be better. I wasn't that impressed to be fair compared to some of the other tracks I have seen. At least they had tractors to pull people out of the mud! lol

Nothing meant by my babbling btw ...

I just have a rather fond association with the track.

Actually Sarah ... I think the re-arranging of the BSBk calendar has not helped.

Before they stopped the WSBk meet at Brands in Aug. The Easter BSBk meets were on the GP circuit and the Last Race of the season in Oct. was on the Indy Circuit. I think this always kinda worked as it kept everyone close to the action and also close to the Final awards at the end of the day. They just used to open the gates up and let everyone onto the Track / Paddock for the Final Awards ceromony ...

ho-hummm guess its just another one of those times changing momments!

Nope, I think we were just about the only ones that didn't get stuck (of the people away from the tarmac). Tractors were busy pulling cars and vans out most of the time, 4wd's were ok.

If you can't get it going with bungee cords and electrician's tape it's serious.
