As my brother and I left a cafe' yesterday for lunch, police started pouring in to the house across the street...at least 20 police cars and a television news helicopter was flying overhead....many of the police were getting out hold rifles...my brother and I watched as people who were standing around behind the watching what was going dove to the ground as at least 25 rounds of ammo were shot....immediately the police started taping off the area with crime scene tape, more police arrived and a police helicopter landed in the back of the house......apparently the man shot was an armed robbery suspect and police shot and killed him..
Since the first of the year, this is the 4th or 5th person that police in Kansas City have shot someone, killing them.....one a young girl who was fleeing from police in a car and ran into a dead end, when she turned her car around and headed toward the police cars, they shot and killed her...
Authority may be getting way out of hand, I know people are crazy and doing crazy things and I realize that there are times when the police must fire to defend their lives..but...I'm thinking they are losing a bit of control...
Any comments or thoughts?

Ha! Well, luckily I live outside the city a bit so truly I don't experience these types of things on a firsthand basis.
I do, however, have a tendancy to love the city and can't seem to keep away, not to mention if I didn't venture into town to see people, I would probably never see them.

well just across our border we have nottingham once very nice .....now nicknamed assanation city ...........three areas are like dodge city ....the police chief seems to hide behind gov stats and the deputiy has just got scot free off 11 shop lifting charges in total ...oh yes and a senior dci got sent down for bein in the pay of a crime lord lol im just tryin to get me head round who supposed to be the good guys lol

mmmm...figuring out who the good guys are could take quite an effort it seems ...
I don't understand all the corruption...everyone wants more..more money, more power..ugh...
I bought my first gun recently, really never had an interest in owning one, never liked them plus I had kids at home...but now..well..a lady just can't be too safe and there isn't always the "good guys" around to protect
