i'm wanting to fit an oil cooler to a gsx750 et 81. i need an oil feed. there is a bolt at the end of the main oil gallery under the signal generator, would it distrupt my oil flow if i used this and then pump the oil back to the sump. really grateful if someone can help me out here, everyone i have asked just dosent know for certain. thanks

i wouldnt! these were never designed to run with an oil cooler! but if you really must try it, i'd suggest contacting some drag racer types, especially those who race the old air cooled stuff! is it really worth all that trouble tho? cheers! good luck!

Just a bit of (im not a mechanic but have two brain cells) logic here ...
If you are worried that the oil is getting too hot ... and the bike was designed and built to not have one ! Does this not maybe suggest that there is something amiss that is ultimately making the oil hot !!! ???
Just a thought ...
Thought for the day ...
If it works leave it ... if it dont grieve for it!

I would reckon the engine is very similar to the gs1000 suzuki.
Will look at my mates gs and see where the pipes exit and return are situated
