Hiya folks. Brand new to all this bike business, but I am totally lovin it. What a difference getting a decent day, where the sun actually shines!!. My man and I popped the flask of coffee and a couple of filled rolls in the top box and went for a run to St. Mary's Loch, In a picture postcard area of Scotland and had a magic day. Plenty of bikers frequent here and we managed to get a good chat. Any places you can recommend?

Glad to hear you're enjoying your new found freedom, nothin beats it eh?! Ive never been to St Marys Loch, well at least not on my bike, is it a run worth doin? As for other good runs, if you are in the Selkirk area, the road from Selkirk to Moffitt has a good reputation as a lot of fun although I'm sure you know that one! Further afield, I would say head for Loch Lomond, and take the Glen Fruin road (google it). Its an old M.O.D. road now open to the public and has got everything you could possibly want from a 10 mile stretch of road. Its incredible !! Following that you could come home via Helensburgh, over the Erskine bridge and onwards. Another to plan for next year allowing you enough time to build experience, (you will need it !!!) is Applecross. Everyone that owns a bike should ride over the "Beallach na ba" at least once in there lives. (the highest road in Britain!!) Imagine flipin open your visor and breathing in cloud at over two thousand feet above sea level ! Its a must !! Take care and have fun. -- Adz. Check out my band www.myspace.com/silvamusik
