Hi Eddie,
I'm not a fan I'm afraid.
Had a test ride on one before and decided immidietly that it wasn't for me.
Plenty of people love em though so it's a personal thing, you should try before you buy for sure with this one me thinks.
What about big comfy japanese bikes like Yam XJR1300, Kawa ZRX1200, Honda CB1000 or of course...wait for it.... a Bandit 1200 !! Bit of modding here and there and you have a bike that does everything, just add £1000 on to the bill of your purchase and you can have suspension, brakes and exhaust sorted, 125 bhp at rear wheel, 90pounds of torque, wheelies for fun and you could ride from one end of the country to another and still be up for more !!!
Good luck mate.

Ive never ridden one but ...
I'd say the Buell is a bit of a marmite bike ...
You either love em or hate em !!! rofl
Personally id go with what 'adz' said ...
If you want something that will do long distances then ...
A good reliable bullit proof bike from a big manufacturer would be the sensible choice! Methinks the Buell would imediately pose problems from a parts / servicing point of view ... u'd have to check but i bet it wouldn't be as easy / cheep to maintain as a run of the mill well tried / well tested Japanese bike!
oooo just seen a bare breast on the telly so thats all i can say .. .
soz ive been distracted ! rofl

Hi Eddie - get yourself a roadtest - took a lightening out 2 yrs ago and was quite suprised at the power and handling of what is realy a lumpy harley. They made me take a 1200 sport out first - I can see why, the harly realy was a tractor compared to the buell. The 2 cylinder grunt is amazing but as already mentioned the styling is not to everyones taste. From one side with the exshaust wrapping around the engine it looks quite good - but the other side just looks plain drap - horses for courses
