So our beloved Goverment has scrapped plans for a British day.God forbid we up set all the pakis,poles,afghans,and any other ethnic group eh.Makes you wonder who this country is run for cause it certainly aint the british people.Rant over.

What gets on my wick more than anything is that England dosnt have a bank holiday on its saints day!FFS it barely rates a mention, where as in Ireland and indeed anywhere the Irish have settled St Paddies day is a national holiday or may as well be, but mention St George and folk think there must be a rugby match on or summat. It annoys me that flying my nations flag is somehow connected to far right politics and that flying the union flag or god forbid the flag of St George makes me a Nazi or summat. It pisses me off no end that folk born in our nation and that have been cared for by it and educated by it would choose to support another country during sporting events or claim they are from another country by virtue of their family connections. It boils my blood when commenwealth citizens choose to come here for a better life but havnt served this nation in ANY way get to stay, when others who for generations have served this country (the Gurkha's) and died for it have to fight long legal battles for the right to remain once their service is complete or to come here for medical treatment (for injuries sustained in this countries service or otherwise). Its not this countries people that are the problem as much as its government ..... and i dont mean just labour either because succesive governments of conservative and labour have done nothing but to remove our freedoms and shackle us with PC laws and regulations. -- Oderint Dum Metuant
