hey biker gods. my bike wont start. i got a suzuki vl 125cc intruder. let me start from the top. 2 days ago i washed the bike and then i let it tick over for 5 or 10 min. (might not be long enough). anyway the next day i tried to start her up and it was having non of it and the battery went almost dead so then i got the jump leads out and started it from my mums car wich started the bike up within 2 or 3 minutes. now then i went to start the bike up this morning and sure enough it worked fine and even ticked over without my assistance (wich is odd as i normally have to keep the revs up a little). then i went to work on it which only takes about five minutes for my 2 mile journey but when i went to get the bike at dinner time the battery was turning the starter motor (or alternator wich ever ya call it) but wouldnt catch on and after a couple of minutes i tried again and it just wouldnt start. i tried to use the jump leads from two different vehicles and it wouldnt work. please help.

Firstly, once you've charged the battery, is the leccy start turning ok with plenty of go in it? Are all your lights etc working nice and bright? If it isn't - battery issues to begin with. Secondly if the starters turning ok, are you getting a good strong bluish spark at the plugs? If not - ignition issue, check for bad connections, earths, wet and mucky switches first. If you are getting a good spark, look at fuel/air mix, air filter, water or filth in fuel. Try and eliminate everything systematically. It's obviously something that happened during or shortly after the cleanup so probably nothing 'deadly' serious. Its just a matter of finding it.

sounds like one of 2 things ...
your bats fooked ..in whitch case it should have jumped started
your solanoids fooked but will have started but soon as you take off the externanl power dead....
you need to do a diagnostics check m8t work from your bat down m8t i had this problem n it was cured by sprayin the kill switch whitch had water in it n was shortin it out ... all can be done usein a standerd meter test..
hope this helps you

How did your plugs look? If they're black sooty or wet looking you carbs could be running a bit rich. Just a thought.
