"The following statement is released on 10th December 2007 at 10:15Hrs

Transaction2007 have decided to release the date and time of protest action earlier than scheduled. This is to enable the motorist and public to better prepare themselves for the coming action. This will be a nationwide protest extending to Northern and Southern Ireland.

A date of Saturday 15th December 2007 at 10:00am has been decided for protest action. This date was decided by members as the best possible to enable those who would normally be working during the week to attend. This action will be initiated at a refinery or storage depot somewhere near you. Anyone wishing to support action is requested to make your way there at the alotted time. Transaction again wish to emphasise the importance of legal protesting."

All that will happen is the government will make sure everywhere has reseveres for that day and joe public will fill up on Friday.

Fuel companies will lose little, this time they need to bring the country to its knees and make sure that the government takes off the fuel duty rebate. Not likely to happen though is it.

i was in a fuel depot during the last blockades.the tanker drivers still get paid, the lorries get extra maintainance, the depot gets cleaned and the fuel company doesent really give a toss.the point is our economy is based on fuel.they know that so we are never going to win.unless more money is invested in alternatives we are up cack kreek without a paddle.people in this country are weak and pathetic.would you see people in france getting walked all over on the same issues we do?no.we buy from every country except our own,we give jobs to people outside the country when people sit on their backsides here claiming dole money.im not against foreign workers at all but shouldnt we force our unemployed into jobs first?no work,no money.you want cheaper fuel in this country?you have to defeat the worst thing to hit gb for decades.apathy.
