i tried watching that last night boring as hell
now im sorry if people like it but i personally thought it was more boring than watching paint dry
i would rather do it than watch some rich kids playin
dont get me wrong anyone who puts bikes on the tv is great but could they have not done it in a better and more exciting way?

got to agree with you it was as dull as twenty dull things being errr.....dull.
nowhere near as much enthusiasm as long way round. it all seemed a bit contrived and rushed.
having said that, im sure that due to constraints by the editing for TV folk we wont have seen as much of the trip as we saw in LWR....
There was too much rushing about for deadlines in my opinion and as such it just didnt have the ability to grab the viewer by the imagination and make em think "i wish i could do that". What i got from the show was "sooner them than me".
the deadlines could be down to mcgregors filming schedule what with him being very much "hollywood" these days (not that there is anything wrong with that mind").
LWD came across as a product and not an adventure which is a shame IMO.

I did enjoy it but I know what you mean. All too rushed and came across like a bit of a rich boys whim.

I'd have liked to see 2 blokes on bikes doing the trip without all the support and backup. Just all the gear they could carry and enough cash to get them through. And preferably one of them not being Ewan McGregor. I just can't take to the chap.

Why aren't there any bike programmes on telly anyway? Even ***FILTERED WORD*** ones would be good, TopGear type stuff would be worth a watch. And a little variation in the stuff we do get to see would be nice. Perhaps some endurance events.

Before you criticise someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do have a go at them, you're a mile away and you've got their f*cking shoes.

If you have access to sattalite telly there are loads of bike type shows on . most of em are however a load of crap, hosted by halfwits or featuring total feckwits (OCC for instance).

I was gutted they didn't show more of Cape Town as this was really the goal!

I looked at the clock when there was still 10 minutes to go and they were still in Namibia...very rushed!
