last night i heard the sad news that norick abe had passed away, norick was riding a bike in tokyo when he was hit by a truck,
its ironic to think of all those years racing fast bikes on track, and numerous crashes, that he was killed this way.
i was lucky enough to meet him once (early in my racer chaser days) when i climbed over pit wall at donington and ran into the bloke himself.i went totally to pieces (as most people know.i have a bit of a "thing" for cute oriental guys in tight leathers) and he just pissed himself laughing at me,
just remembering this incident has brough a smile to my face several times this sad day
R.I.P norick we'll miss you

There are just too many lost to other road users who have not a clue what they're doing, that truck driver should be bloody shot.
What a sad sad loss. Heart goes out (I can't remember how many times I've typed these words on this forum) to his friends and family.
If nothing else we can all remember to ride as if there is an idiot truck driver just around the next twisty and just take it easy, we've all got people who love us too.
RIP

News says he was hit by a truck doing an illegal U-Turn. The driver is being questioned.
Shoot the basket i say. i`ve been lucky and only had legs broken because of that.
Gonna be a great race this Sunday up in Heaven, my monies on Sheene!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, beer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming
