Well been awhile since been on here been a busy boy.
Anyway apart fm fact scotland lost in the rugby last nite and so not in best of moods, I like alot of people here am getting more annoyed with the government.
How can gordon B cancel elections to 2009???? He is an unelected leader of his party, that is to say unelected by the british public. There should be a rule that if you default into power i.e you get in because your party leader leaves that you have to go to the polls within a year. Simple.
He wants us to see what his party can do before going to the polls? Havent we seen that for the last umpteen years and he has been part of that party then. What they going to do thats so radical now? Hes just afraid he may loose, and theres a chance he would with increasing petrol costs etc and I heard on radio today income tax prob going up. I wouldnt mind that if it wasnt for the tax on everything else we get too!
ok rant over have a good day folks!

there stance is that in an election its the party not the leader that u vote for. what aload of twoddle if u don't like the front man u wouldn't vote for em. i agree with u shadow if u get the job by default u should have to have an election. apparently he has delayed his election due to the news of the world doing a poll that says he would lose seats and it would end up a hung goverment. the man is running scared he daren't hold an election cos he will lose. i can't stand the man and i certainly don't like the labour party anyway so an election for me can't come soon enough. get this shower of sh it out of goverment lets get someone in who has the balls to stand up and be counted on immigration not worry about all the votes they would lose due to the fact that are so many here with a bloody vote! lets have someone who will give powers back to the police so they can make this country safe again. lets get someone in who will create a good economy and make jobs not make them but give them to immigrants, we still have the same number of unemployed as we did it hasn;t gone down the stats just say it has cos so many have gone to non british people. lets get someone in who will play fair with taxes not make us the most taxed nation in the world. lets get someone in who can see past the end of there nose to make things like schools and hospitals work better. basically u need to run the goverment and councils as a business and make more money and be cost effective, stop with all the mindless bullsh it that they seem to create.

whilst i agree that brown has gained the job by (more or less) default and there should be an election because brown has no mandate from the electorate, There is nothing to say he had to hold a snap election. If for instance Cameron was the premier in the same position he wouldnt go to the country either. Labour dosnt have to have an election until 2009 and i doubt you will see one signifcantly before then.
What i cant understand is how the tories managed to gain on labour in the poles, they have no real plans for government other than cutting inheritance tax and slapping a charge on the rich who live here but dont pay tax (apparently this would fall foul of euro laws anyway as it would be seen as a way for someone to avoid paying tax that obviously not many folk would be eligable for. so thats a non starter).
If brown hadnt "leaked" the possibility of a snap election then no one would have been any the wiser. Labour are going to nick the idea of cutting inheritance tax and anything else that seemed popular as well. Big deal. Cameron and cambell are just ranting cos they thought they would get a chance at power.... the reality is different tough!
I have no time for brown but then i have even less for cameron and cambell either of which would be an unmitigated disaster for the UK. Fact is i wouldnt vote for any of em as they are completly useless as is shown by history. What we need is a parliament devoid of legeslative power.... they can think up whatever laws they want but then have to convince the voters that they are right and have referendum's.
Actually a hung parliment may not be such a bad idea anyway as it would protect us all from the ravages of the main two parties who frankly dont give a hoot what the voters want anyway.
I notice that tony benn is going to stand for parliament again now wether or not you agree with his politics parliament is missing folk like him.... proper conviction politicians with real intellingence and the ability to debate well rather than the usual old tosh that comes out of the gobs of the current useless articles. Of course he dosnt stand a chance of winning in the constituency he is standing in which is a real shame as no doubt he could beat Brown and Cameron in any debate and be entertaining at the same time .
All in all the main parties are no longer what they were and as such they have betrayed their core voters. Personally i doubt it will make any difference to folks lives whoever get in when they have an election they will all make things more difficult, they will all tax us more ( and no doubt use the treehugging card as an excuse) they will all waste the money they raise and services will get worse we will all moan about it and carry on voting for the imbeciles same as we always do.
Blame the green nazi's , the save the enviroment lot (treehugging tosspots) as they have managed to convince the main parties (at least as a method for taxing us more) that our carbon footprint must be minimul ......nonsence, methane is 30 times more harmfull to the planet than C02 and yet there are no plans to kill all the farm animals (main contributers to global wwarming apparently).
At the end of the day it dosnt matter who you vote for...government wins every bloody time and some bunch of toffs with no idea of living in the real world get to lord it over us all again.
" He who places his hand upon me, to govern me, is a tyrant and a userper, and I declare him my enemy". some bloke in the 18th century said that and never a truer word spoke!

Brown got job by default as did Blair by the untimely death of John Smith . A real politician, who have would made a good prime minister.the new labour years wouldnt have panned out the same with someone of his ilke at the helm.
