Hello, I'm grumpy. I bought some parcel shelf speakers for my car, I fitted them myself in the parcel shelf, the wires fit to the speakers ok but I have no idea what to do with the other end of the wires, where the fek do they go??? I can take the head unit out but there's wire everywhere and I'm confoooozed. There doesn't seem to be any existing wiring to rear speakers so I'm guessing I'll have to trail the wire from rear to front but where do I connect them to? The speaker wire just has bare ends and no connectors.

I know I'm a woman and I should just pay a man to do it but I'm fed up of doing that so I thought I'd have a go. Stupid, stupid woman.

depends on the head unit ton, usually there are red, yellow, and black, which are power/earth, then 4 pairs or wires, for the 4 speakers, colours vary. check head unit, usually sticker to say which colour for which speaker, if not check internet for wiring colours.
well done for trying, at least you had a go.

I don't know sh!t about car stereos but can't you find the wires that go to the front speakers, chop them and splice the wires for the back ones onto them?

Before you criticise someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you do have a go at them, you're a mile away and you've got their f*cking shoes.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, beer in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming

Thanks all who attempted to help me, I got there in the end!!

Thanks, my toons actually have bass in them now, not just treble, I am a happy chicken. Even cooler that I was on the right track I just didn't have to confidence to cut that wire!!! (watched too many bomb disposal scenes in tom cruise films, lol).

I'm listening to allsorts, put the ipod on random and plug it in! Bit of Kings of Leon, Snow Patrol, sometimes some cheezy rock, bit of guns n roses etc and sometimes some 'bangin toons' from ministry of sound etc, I'm totally messed up when it comes to music, basically if there's a guitar, piano or drum kit in it, I like it (unless it's kate bush can't stand her skrawkin gob, or opera screechin either).

Glad u asked!!
