It seems no-one can give me what I want, the technology isn't there yet.. no-one has anything better than 30fps/720x480, but I may go with one of these while I wait for what I really want..

As i said the FPS isnt decided by the camera its by the recording medium.

30 FPS isnt too bad though.

I`ll put out some feelers, one of the lads is bound to know of something.

Ah.. but it is down to the cam as well, I've been doing a lot of research into this and response time of the of the ccd or cmos is important, along with the camera firmware.. if the camera won't support 30fps, then it doesn't matter what you stick on the av output.

For example: cmos sensors take longer to adjust pixel voltage when moving from bright to dim lighting.

A lot of devices claim to support 25fps but they lose out in resolution or true frame rate, which results in data loss.

Thats 30fps 752x480

Top mp4 codec recorder
The most important thing about this digital recorder is the video quality. It uses a quicktime mp4 codec with a bitrate of up to 8000kb/s at 720x576 resolution which can be considered DVD quality. This compression method has been designed by the same people who worked on the mp3 audio codec so these guys know a thing or two about video compression.

Them babies are 730 plus vat.

There is one of my trade blokes who has seen something at the Milipol Expo thats in Finland i believe.

Its a prototype coming out soon but his words were "i think there was something at milipol expo - but if he is on budget i wouldn't bother to have a look..."

Think we have come up against the best at the moment in miniature cameras with portable recording.

I can do better with bigger kit Use the ME1 above and a http://www.ezcctv.com/product/Ez-Day-Night-PRO-344.htm

Even then its only 752X582 but its a good camera. And 12vdc.
