they either need to return to the system used last year, or, have a control tyre, if for know other reason than to bring the racing back, some folk have said people were'nt moaning when Rossi was in a simular position leading races, he did have to fight for that position when racing Gibbers and Max, lets get back to racing, ie man and machine against man and machine from flag to flag.........
no matter who wins we want racing back.....

i personally would like to see everyone using the same tyre as each other. whether you select someone like bridgestone to provide the tyres for the whole season, or just get different manu ***FILTERED WORD*** turers for different tracks, so bridgestone get round 1, dunlop round 2, etc etc. just think it makes for better racing if they all have the same tyres.

There's no way I would want every racer to be on the same tyre... I don't know how much people know about racing bikes, but choosing a tyre isn't a simple matter, you don't just get the option of hard/medium/soft for front/rear, there are many many different compounds and almost every rider has a different set, which is dependant on many factors including riding style, track, bike and the bike setup too (that's a simple view)!
As more than one racing team has admitted already, they got the combinations wrong for this year and with the necessary development of new bikes (with their own power/handling requirements), the new restrictions have prevented sufficient testing and choice to correct the mistakes made at the start of the season.. c'est la vie!
But I digress.. more importantly, racing is driving development, and not just in tyres, which filters back to the rider on the street, making riding safer and more enjoyable.. I'd much rather have a year of crap racing where one manufacturer dominates, than see a decline in the development of technology..
In addition, if everyone had to use the same tyre, then development around it would end up giving everyone the same bikes too (F1 anyone?).. not for me thanks, I prefer diversity in all things to give me options in life.. without choice where would any of us be?
