bought a fz400 a few weeks back and i have had nothing but probs with it,if it runs its either blowing blue smoke or black.i can hear a pincking noise from within the engine which sounds like there something rattling about......i have 2 big holes in the exhaust,and to top it all off now i keep getting little holes under my tank and it pi55es fuel all over my kitchen floor,little things like pin holes they are but in the last 2 days it has got 5 of these and when i patch one up another appears in the night.......so well done me eh i have no luck with bikes and at the mo im thinking of giving in on them cos i can seem to buy a good one........was fine when i bought it and rode it home,now its nothing but problems,ahh well back to trains and buses me thinks

And on a lighter note - I just had my FZS600S MOt'd and serviced yesterday, cost me £110, which I think is not too bad....no problems at all with the bike, only front pads need doing soon (but knew that already) and thats after it has now done 29600 - still on my first chain (scotoiler) and otherwise the bike has been a total Gem - best buy ever

mine had been stood for 18 month took it for an mot and it failed on the rear suspension being too stiff(ooeerr).free'd it up and took it for another and it sailed through no probs,but now i cant ride it cos its a bag of crap and a danger to myself with the fuel leaking.....only payed 400 for it and it was a gem....theres a pick of it on here.....not bad for an old bike.....little sod it is no.......about a year and a half ago i got a gpz500 and couldent get that running at all so i cut it up with a sthil saw lol

Nah, stick with it Hippo. Public transport really sucks. It smells weird and the seats are sticky and theres always a pissy old monster wanting to sit next to you.
All my bikes are ***FILTERED WORD*** e, I can't afford nice ones. Crap bikes are cool. You just have to tackle the issues a bit at a time. You have to be patient and chuck a few quid at it every time you've get a bit to spare. Not having a bike is horrible, better to have a pile of junk than no bike at all.
That tank sounds bollocksed though.

sounds like you head gaskit and your pistons are shot you might has well try and "LOSE" the bike cuz it will kill ya to repair it on a lighter note I brought myself a trike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you could try (BUT DONT COUNT ON IT) finding another 400 in good condidtion (HA HA) and replacing engines it would be the cheapest way call part finder its 1.50 per min but you will pay about a fiver and you will get loads of calls just tell them what you want!! xxxxxxxxxxxxx luvs ya babe!
