Yes folks im typing from the emerald isle, on holiday with my good lady and the kids, in Armagh at the mo in a nice b&b then on to Gallway bay tommorow.
As its my first ever visit here im combining my trip with a recky on the roads and routes for future visits on my bike.
So far ive found the road from Armagh to Keady to be the best, although its less than 10 miles it has a bit of everything and the surface is grippy and even. If thats an indication of things to come then i will definatlly be over with a few mates on a camping trip sometime next year.
Loads of bikes around, mainly harleys so far though, dunno if there is a meet on or something or thats just the bike of choice here.
Im off for a quick pint now, bringing back some chinese and hopefully the kids will be asleep in an hour or so.
Cheers for now.

I'd love to go to Ireland, in face we were planning on taking the bikes, as it happens I'm glad I didn't because mine kept breaking down! When I had my Ducati, everyone ribbed me and said it would break down all the time, it never let me down once. I buy a Jap bike and everyone says it's bomb proof, well it might be, but it's also an electrical nightmare and unreliable!!!! There's no logic. Anyway, have a lovely time and keep us informed about where's good to go.
Happy hols xx

Cheers ton, home now and had a great time.
I found all the roads to be in top condition, most wide with hard shoulder type lanes that the good folks drift into to allow bikes past, nice !
The costal road from Gallway bay through oranmore and down to the cliffs of mhore was a peticuarlly good streach of road, but every where was worth a look.
I found an outdoor cart trak and got a blast in the rain!!! yeeha!!
If you havnt been over, i highly recomend a trip sometime soon.
Cheers.
