I just wanted to say that during the floods in Gloucestershire as well as previously in Yorkshire we must applaud the efforts of the emergency services, especially those of the fire and rescue service. What a lot of people do not realise is that the majority of fire crews in these areas are retained fire-fighters who do this on a part time basis as well as their normal jobs. My son in law is one of these with the Northleach fire crew and since Friday has worked over 60 hours rescuing and helping out as well as the past 28 hours along with hundreds of others including the Navy fighting to prevent the major substation in Gloucester from flooding and plunging the area into even more chao, which thankfully was acheived. Well Done Andy and his crew as well as all the others.

i heard that too nuty and i was also disgusted, what is this county coming to. Something else to bare in mind is that alot of the people that are saving people and there homes are also flooded out themselves so are helping others instead of trying to save their own homes and belongings. hats off to them all what a fantastic job they have done.

big up to the lads and lasses who are helping those who need it.
not surprised however that the brats are messing stuff up!
gurt ***FILTERED WORD*** ty sticks are still available from Ox n Bear inc to deal with all those obnoxcious brats. Each gurt ***FILTERED WORD*** ty stick comes with comprehensive instructions. (basically hit the feckers (with the GSS) till they stop twitching!)

I have to say that watching the floods on telly has that funny effect that you get when you can separate yourself from what's happening because it's on TV, it doesn't seem real.
I didn't really understand what all these poor people were going through until there was a danger that water was going to come in through my back door (and we're talking only 1 inch deep here). I suddenly had to think about it and realised what real devastation those people must be going through.
Luckily for me a couple of hours on bucket watch outside an overflowing drainpipe sorted me out and no water came in (this time) but it was quite scary for a while.
My best wishes to all those who are flooded, and my utter utter disgust to the low life scum that are looting and robbing and trying to profit out of it. If they were on fire I'd fan the flames and I certainly wouldn't pee on em.
Rant over and good luck to all who are floating.
