Having been the recipient of a similar situation here the answer is easy, its NO.
I will not bore people with the facts but if your asked to be voted off a public forum then the people objecting to the comments made should not be reading said forums. It is one thing to make comments on world issues, than make personal attacks on the person concerned.
Life is complicated enough, as some have mentioned this is a bikers site.............Well blow me down we have lives out of bikes too ( awaits jokes about self, so what when i`m able to and want to i`ll be back on two wheels so i hope thats stopped that in the bud). Other sites experience this syndrome, WHY WILL YOU ALL NOT TALK ABOUT THE SUBJECT ON THE URL?
Its easy to answer, when you become used to a user, involved in the banter and chat. You get to know people and how they think. If your lucky you get to meet with them and interact with daily life. Thus you inherit complications, worry about friends and even upset them with your opinion.
THIS IS CALLED LIFE.
So no petitions pls.
oops I digressed, or did I

Not I. You provided an extremely sensitive topic of conversation and it kicked off a nice lively discussion. Aint that what forums are all about? I don't necessarily hold with either party but I enjoyed reading it all. It'd be no fun at all if everyone just aggreed with everyone else and if it gets a little heated then thats ok too as long as we can all be grown up about it.
So there!

Where I come from free speech is a big thing. I do not post often but I do read the forums.
I believe that you even thinking about leaving is an absurd thought.
Have a great day

I'll have my 2p too.
It would be wrong if you are directing it at an individual/group in a personal and highly offensive manner, sometimes I do not agree with what other say and feel however, that does mean that anyone should be banned for it.
Just calm it down a bit gixxer to pacify others.

Ok for what its worth, No i dont think you should go, however as many have stated i feel you should perhaps be a little more shall we say subtle, anyway if i dont like what you say i close that part down and read another thread,A bit like the TV really if i dont like whats on i change channels, but then im not an easily offended person neither :)

Its only my opinion, it doesn't necessarily make it right.
