i have a Suzuki gs500F 06 and need to fit a new engine (dont ask!) am hoping to pick one up from a breakers but wonder if anyone can advise me if other engines would fit e.g another year or model. Thanks

you can make anything fit given time and lots of cash to change all the other stuff too, carbs exhausts etc, put the same in and get it back on the road.

if you ask around at various breaker sites and or e bay i am sure you will find a replacement bike/engine just keep on looking and the right one will come along before you know it

best bet is to just bung another gs500e in. yeah you could fit different engines if you have access to welding gear and other engineering stuff, but it would cost loads and at the end of the day the resale value of the bike would be nil or bloody close to it.
