Bike Stolen
Aprilia Pegaso Mk3 650ie
Stolen from Markham Manor services A1 Nr Newark on Trent on the Night of
02/07/07 - The bike was on a new GT colapsable trailer (Black)
[http://www.agtrailers.co.uk] - the thieves had to use bolt cutters and
a portable grinder to remove the trailer from its hitching.
The bike was secured with Eight (yes Eight) seperate padlock and chains
Red with Silver front faring (approx 16 k miles)
Distinguishing Features of the bike:
Tourance tyres (almost brand new- little wear)
Predator Stainless exhausts
Full aprilia hard luggage set (grey)
Steel front/rear sprocket (non standard)
Red colour coded hand guards (non standard)
Silver colour coded instrument surround and Radiator surround
(non standard)
spyball alarm
vertical scrapes on rear plastics
paint wear from previous owners soft luggage on same rear plastics
Ignition Barrel(bottom end removed for contacts cleaning)taped up
some rust spots on upper part of forks
Rewired lights (bullet junction)where stearing pinched original wire
The bike will have no keys (bike as well as hard luggage), documentation
or fob for alarm - there is no key system for the alarm.
the luggage contained a new stomy white helmet + ladys gloves
and a set of leather riding jeans - the top box has the aprilia sticker
from the front faring (just above the light) just above the handle
The bike was sorn'd and was being transported to be over wintered
the tax disk holder was attached to the front exhaust heat shield
and the old tax disk ran out on 10/06
I would be very gratefull if anybody comes accross parts / the bike
if they would drop me a line and I will inform the police
This is a relitivly rare bike ( less than 30 for sale country wide with autotrader)
I cannot see how it could be passed off as a genuine sale without any documentation, all locks would need to be replaced/drilled (Ignition, Fuel Tank,Bike Seat, 3x hard luggage [seven locks for that alone]) and the Imobiliser removed. I can only asume that somebody will try to sell this for spares (and get a measily £100 or so- sickening)- The Pegaso community is small, and I have already contacted the owners group. I do not think this was stolen by joyriders - (They'd never get it to go in the time their pea like brains would lose interest) the people that stole it came very well equiped , but stole the bike in a manner that suggests a massive lack of inteligence- abet that they where sucessfull.
To say that I am gutted is an understatement - that bike has hauled me
all round europe & I had never intended to sell it. I just want my baby
back.
Any help gratefully recieved
Many thanks
Simon

Why isnt my overwhelming kindness an excuse for girls to think, 'Hey, lemme rub my chest in his face!'
Sex Line: 'Is there anything I can do for you?'
Me: 'Yeah, ring me back its cheaper!'
