driving home from gloucester tonight about 2 miles from junction 5 on the m5, atrocious conditions heavy rain bouncing that high it looked like low mist and barely doing 55, a red mr2 came past in the fast lane doing nearly a ton (just an informed guess) braked and aquaplaned accross our path into the embankment , crumbled with the impact and started to cartwheel towards us , i managed to steer round it , bits of the car were all over , some hitting mine , the door just missing us, we avoided the car by six foot, dawne saw the drivers body, still in the car (wearing a striped red and white t shirt, in his 20s she said) another black sporty job cut us up to pull onto the hard shoulder, probably his mate he'd been racing? we rang the services immediately , dawne reckons hes dead , i dunno , just feel sorry for the stupid ****s family is all, will anyone in the area (cos it wont get national coverage) who hears anything , let me know?

just say what you saw, you had no part to play in the accident, if people want to drive recklessly in poor condition then i say lets hope they only hurt themselves and not innocent other.

Not so sure about that fred, what about all the emergency services staff that have to scrape them up afterwards, better if they didn't do it in the first place, some ppl never learn :(

Awww Gixx, I really feel for you hun. I know how upsetting it can be to witness something like that. Just before Christmas, we came across a bloke in the middle of the road who had been knocked off his push bike by a car, because he had no lights on. It was pitch black and peeing it down with rain, but we could see that he had massive head injuries. We did our best, a group of us getting instructions from the ambulance controllers on how to do CPR and taking turns coz it took the ambulance about 15 minutes to arrive. We knew he had died while we were trying, but we carried on anyway. I was absolutely gutted that we couldn't do anything for the bloke, it affected me for days, and now I can't drive past that bit of road without thinking about him.
It doesn't matter that the bloke in the MR2 was being a prat, at the end of the day, his family are going to be distraught, and that's what got to me, not the fact that the bloke we saw should have had his lights on, just that people have lost someone they love.

Sorry for the delay in the reply.........children ehh.....

Gixx if you have to give evidence, tell them, no - print off your post as evidence.

the post apparently came from the heart, so the court would see the facts as presented!

coincidence that catherine , at xmas my my daughter was rushed into hospital, on the way home , pissing with rain, as usual!, i passed a guy laid against someones front gate , 2 mins from home , i dont know why but i turned back, wound the window down , i asked if he was ok, he mumbled lifted his leg , it flopped down and blood squirted accross my windscreen .
usual... 999 ambulance etc, while i was ringing he'd managed to crawl down the road and me and the ambulance crew had to search for him !
turns out hed had a few too many beers , fell off his pushbike , broke his leg and severed an artery! he was ok , and his dad rang to thank me.
oh, my daughter turned out ok too! so a result all round! lol!
what the ' ***FILTERED WORD*** ' is gonna happen next? lol!
