hi,just joined 'cos i need some help.although my helmet is getting on a bit i'm very attached to it and the other day my clasp broke,i don't know if it can be replaced or even if you can buy spare parts for it....has any one got a suggestion as where to look? it's a roof boxer r05...look forward to a reply ( don't diss me for riding my 79 z650,she's lovely,will post a pic in the gallery.cheers )

id say bin it before u might rely on it m8 .....roof are having few probs with parts at the moment if im right its to do with distribution depot up in smoke ..u could try e bay but much as u like it ud be safer gettin another

shave your head paint it, and stick a visor to your eyebrows , cheap and very cool in this blistering(hah!) heat .
buy a new one! yer life can depend on yer helmet!

Roof are notoriously bad for sending spares....it can take them months to send the wrong part. They have shifted their manufacture to China or some such place, and since then they've been awful.

I'd personally use the excuse to buy a nice shiney new Arai or Shoei!!

i understand you being attached to your lid, but the question has to be, how attached are you to your head. dont risk your safety in an old lid.

yeh it's time to say good bye to the faithfull lid i suppose,shame but you all are right.thanks for the comments.i'm trying to upload the picture of my old zed but i'm only allowed 512 bits of picture size and the picture i have is too big at the momment to upload,so as soon as i can work out how to do it i'll drop one on the gallery.cheers for now.

u need to put your photo in to photo impact or something and just re size it.

Its recommended that helmets are replaced every three years. buy a new one made by the same company in the style you like and make sure it fits properly.
