Channel 4 are doing a programme tonite which apparently is going to contain very graphic images of the crash. William and Harry have asked channel 4 not to broadcast the distressing pictures of thier mother dying but it has fallen on deaf ears and they r going ahead with it. My question is r any of u going to watch it? It's nearly 10 years since she died and love her or loath her don't u think shes just better off left alone now? Are channel 4 going to beable to put to bed once and for all how she died? was it a cover up? was she murdered? I don't think they r going to tell us anything we haven't heard b4 all they r going to do is show us pictures of people dying, and i'm sure i can watch. Altho i after saying all that i think my morbid curiosity will get the better of me.

If I was at home tonight I would be watching it.

TBH don't see the difference between watching the thing about Di and other similar documentaries about regional police forces, why should it be different just because of who she was?

It is also important for ppl to understand what and how it happened, the value of privacy is second to none and it is an extremely unfortunate and inconsiderate chain of events that lead to her death.

I can understand Harry and Williams' request for it not to be aired, however the public gets what the public wants and I expect there are other videos online that are easily obtainable and have been viewed thousands/millions of times by joe average around the world.

RIP Diana

i'll be at work so won't be watching it, if i was at home then i wouldn't be watching it, its time they left alone, 10 years and they still keep on, let the poor woman rest in peace.
as for wills and harry, it must be really hard for them to have this broadcast when all they want to do is be left with their memories i don't blame them for not wanting it shown.

I think it depends on what angle the programme is coming from, if it's about the events leading to her death it's right, if it's a glorified show about the emergency services getting her out of the vehicle it's wrong.

I don't believe that just because ppl are still talking about and watching things about her death that she cannot rest in peace, it's harder for her family and the producers should respect their wishes as they have to live with the damage caused.

it said on the news last night that the pics they are going to show are no different/worse to the ones printed in the national press, and that her face/body will be blurred out so you wont actually "see" her.

Still, i think its pretty disrespectful and wont be watching

What is this programme about/for exactly? I thought the whole proceeds had come to an impass because of the resignation of the coroner Baroness Butler-Sloss. I cant see what it has to do with us . This poor woman had a very ill timed death. When I think back to those two boys following thier mothers coffin..How tragic was that to behold. She was an excellent mother and I do feel that they should be allowed to progress in thier own memory of her. This may never be uncovered totally no matter how many pictures they show of the accident. I do believe this to be the media again ..What better viewing can they go for..I will probably see what its about and walk away because I dont want to be deopressed.. I just cant help thinking of those two lads.

cant remember all this fuss when the police recently published photos of a dead biker without consulting the family. there was upset amoungst the biker comunity but there wasnt the national media frenzy that this show has caused.
there are pictures in the media everyday that cause people upset, and the only way we will ever stop this is to stop buying/watching this stuff, if the public turn it down they wont show/print it, but generally we dont. loads of people will watch this program, so this will encourage them to make more of this type of program

Its repeated because Al Fayed will not let it drop. He is certain there is a conspiracy.Like the one to deny a man a passport who employs 1000`s of english people. Pays vast taxes to this country and yet has to be ridiculed for his attempts.

No one bothers to complain when his charities benefit the ailing NHS or the charitable efforts for children.

He wants the truth about his son dying, and the reasons behind it. Diana was/is a part of that process. Is it so wrong for a father to want to know really why his son died?

i agree that a father should know how his son died but why do it so publically.........

there has been an investigation, a hearing and 10 years later they can't just get it that it was an accident....my brother died on a bike on the same day in august in 1982 and i must say every time they bring this up it brings back memorious of that time, i know how them boys feel..

just let it rest

Duc, sorry for your loss.
The problem is all the investigations have been sham`s. Witness`s gagged information witheld, this is the only way to get answers now.Al-Fayed has tried everything in his power to get answers other ways. All attempts stone walled.I was awake that night and watched the events develop the car removed ect. Something still does not sit right, even with the news coverage.
The royal family were forced to acknowledge the power Diana carried hence the final send off. She was not liked as she was seen to be a "breeder" not a leader. There has even been suggestions Charles had both princes DNA tested. If true what other skeletons are hiding in the cupboard.

Probably, hence the secrecy.
Could Harry be denounced and the royals keep any credibility?
Too many cans of worms are waiting to be opened, Al-Fayed knows this. He has to open some to get to the truth, with his money and now no heir time to waste he is on a mission.
I bet he would be less enthusiastic if he had gotten his passport yrs back. So what he was associated with an arms dealer, we sold arms to Saddam and others far far worse.
