Now I used to like coming on here and the chatroom, but I'm afraid after trawling through the forum and seeing the numbers in the chat room over the last few days I've changed my mind.
Theres an element creeped in that have definatly lowered the tone.
Now I'm no prude and pretty broad minded but think that Mark and Roeby are right. I'm a member on a number of forums and all those that are visited by younger members have a policy about language in the forums on public view.
The forum is read by young people, impressionable ones at that. The forum should be a place where people get on with each other and not a place for muck rakeing and personal attacks.
The chat room is the chat room and not a lot can be done about the language in there, the software seems to cope when it's switched on.
Mark and Roebs should ban the people that do not conform to the forum rules, all of them not just new members. The other option is to have an adults only section but then some poor sod will have to set it up and indeed moderate it. Oh! thats not me volunteering either.
If you have something a bit heavy to post at least make it clear in the title so people can steer their kids clear.
My quids worth, and I am not too fussed about who reacts how to anything I've said.
Think about it peeps or this room will fold and you'll have nowhere to play.

I think most, if not all have made their apology to Mark and Roebs for language and abuse, however people forget easily.
We are all (or at least most of us are) guilty of swearing in the forum and chatroom.
On the other side of things, the more that people post new threads about the same thing the more it will have a detrimental effect on the forum, users and lack of useful conversation.
We should all draw a line under this and move on.
