so theres the good ol' hot soapy water remedy and then douse the bike in duckoil/wd40.... it's worked for me since i started trying to keep bikes tidy during the winter. Are any of the super-duper products that are available on the market any good?

Yeh, Scottoiler FS365 is brilliant. It smikes a bit off your headers but thats no problem. It works a treat. Better than WD40 as it gets into more knookes and crannies and comes with a handy sprayer. You can also spray ALL of your bike, except brakes of course. It isn't too hard to clean the stuff of your fairing etc either. You shouldn't pay more than £6.00 for a litre of the stuff. Oh, DON'T USE HOT soapy water when you wash the salt from your bike. Use COLD soapy water (hot water speeds up the corrosion process by up to a THOUSAND times! (ESPECIALLY ON ALUMINIUM!)). After washing, us the Scottoiler fs365 as recommended. HEY PRESTO!

regular blasting with my pressure washer keeps the old nail looking respectable. havnt tried any of the new muck removing products, dont use washing up liquid tho its full of salt, car shampoo only.
